Kindle Book Haul #2

It's time for another Kindle Book Haul, and I'll show you which books I've bought recently. This time there are 6 books, the first 3 being mysteries, and the other just random genres. They are all on sale, cheap or free, and you can click on the cover and you'll go to the Amazon page :)

Secondhand Spirits (A Witchcraft Mystery #1)

Genres: Cozy Mystery, Witches, Paranormal, Mystery, Urban Fantasy, Supernatural
It's been ages that I wanted to start this series, but I never bought it, so I've never started. Now the kindle version is on sale, so of course I got it.
Lily Ivory feels that she can finally fit in somewhere and conceal her "witchiness" in San Francisco. It's there that she opens her vintage clothing shop, outfitting customers both spiritually and stylistically.
Just when things seem normal, a client is murdered and children start disappearing from the Bay Area. Lily has a good idea that some bad phantoms are behind it. Can she keep her identity secret, or will her witchy ways be forced out of the closet as she attempts to stop the phantom?

Ghost Detective (A Myron Vale Investigation Book 1)

Genres: Ghosts, Detective, Paranormal Mystery, Urban Fantasy
The plot seems really interesting, the GoodReads and Amazon ratings are both good, and it was cheap. A great combination, right?
After narrowly surviving a near-fatal shooting, Portland detective Myron Vale wakes with a bullet still lodged in his brain, a headache to end all headaches, and a terrible side effect that radically transforms his world for the worse: He sees ghosts. Lots of them.

Enter Second Murderer (Inspector Faro #1)

Genres: Historical Fiction, Historical Mystery
A cheap historical mystery that I decided to buy.
'The Gruesome Convent Murders'
Prime suspects are a fanatical nun, an aristocratic hermit and a public schoolboy in a chronicle of terror, betrayal, greed and violence. As this sensational case for which the murderer has been executed is reopened when a second victim is claimed, D.I Faro is drawn into the shady underworld beyond Victorian middle-class Edinburgh's theatres and salons.

The Magic Shop - (The Shadow Magic Series - Book 1)

Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult, YA,
It's... MAGIC. And it's free, so why don't get it and read when I feel like it?
Marcus Fith is a troubled youth. When his grandparents decide it would be good for him to tend the family business, a magic shop, Marcus is thrown into a world he never knew existed. Not only is the family business a front, but Marcus learns that he has been marked as a dead man from the time he was born.

Witch Song Boxed Set (1, 2, 2.5, 3): Witch Song, Witch Born, Witch Rising, & Witch Fall (Witch Song Series)

Genres: Witches, Fantasy, Young Adult, Paranormal, Romance, Music, Magic
Witches and music. WHat's more to say about it? The first book is free now, so you can try it without any harm, and the reviews are good.
Brusenna is the last. All the other witches have been captured, their songs stolen and twisted from harmony and growth into chaos and death. She alone must stand against an evil much older and darker than anything she could ever imagine—an evil every witch before her has failed to vanquish.

Plague of Angels (The Descended Book 1)

Genres: Fantasy, Paranormal, Angels, Demons, Supernatural, Dark Fantasy
Just another cheap one :)
Nyx is Queen of Hell and ruler of the Angels who were banished there – the Descended. And when the rest of the Angels are called home, Nyx finds herself stuck on the Earth with the Son of God. To her surprise, she learns that he is no happier than she. God's son thought he was sent down to judge humanity. Instead, he becomes a sacrifice for a cause he does not believe in – their redemption.
